What is the difference between Mia Femtech and Preservé Systems?

Mia Femtech and Preservé are both minimally invasive breast enhancement / augmentation systems. Mia Femtech is mostly used for patients who require a 1- or 2-cup size increase. Preservé system can be used for patients demanding larger volumes. Mastopexy (breast lifting) can be combined with Preservé system.
Here are the differences between Mia Femtech and Preservé systems:
h | Mia Femtech | Preservé |
Goal | Subtle, natural enhancement | Larger or more customized enhancement |
Volume increase | About 1–2 cup sizes | Up to about 4 cup sizes |
Incision | Small, hidden in a natural armpit fold; no scar on the breast | Small, in the inframammary fold (under the breast) |
Implant placement | Inserted with a dedicated air-assisted device | Inserted with a special funnel-type device |
Anesthesia | Local anesthesia with light sedation; no general anesthesia is required | Usually local anesthesia with sedation; general anesthesia can be used depending on the surgical plan |
Can be combined with a breast lift | No | Yes (hybrid and lift-augmentation options) |
Return to daily activities | Usually the next day | Usually within a few days |
Sports and heavy lifting | After about 1-2 weeks | After about 3 weeks |
Typical candidate | Small breasts with good skin quality, wanting a modest change | Wanting more volume, or needing asymmetry or sagging corrected |
Which one is right for you? It depends on your anatomy, skin quality, and goals. Only an in-person examination can decide.
