The Technical Details

The Mia® procedure is a 4-step, high-tech experience:

1. Consultation & Sizing: As a certified Mia® surgeon, I will work with you using specialized 3D simulation tools to determine your desired outcome and select the perfect implant size for your body's unique proportions.

   
   

2. Anesthesia & Incision: The area is numbed using local anesthesia. A single, small incision (approx. 2-3 cm) is made in the armpit.

   
   

3. Pocket Creation: Using the patented Mia® high-tech system, a precise "nest" or pocket is gently formed in the breast (in the pre-pectoral plane, or in front of the muscle) without cutting breast tissue.

   
   

4. Implant Placement: The flexible, diamond-shaped implant is inserted through the armpit incision into the newly created pocket using a "no-touch" sterile insertion device. The small incision is then closed.
